There is a zero tolerance for discrimination, bullying or harassment of any kind. Everyone – dancers, artists, staff and volunteers – deserves to have a positive party experience regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexuality, migration status, religion or ability.
Consent is key.
Only a free, voluntary and informed yes means yes. Anything else means no.
Be in the moment.
If you’re on the dance floor, please keep phone use to a minimum. Everyone wants their own memories and that’s cool! Just remember that not everyone around you wants to feature as part of your latest insta update… Moments of disconnect from social media are rare, let’s enjoy it together.
Respect for place.
It is a privilege to be able to enjoy an outdoor festival in our city parks, and Sidebyside takes many people months of time to create. Please put your rubbish in the correct bin, treat the festival site with care, and if you see someone who isn’t – call it out. Pocket ashtrays are provided for free and are available at the bar, please use them.
